Strip commercial is the epitome of modern architecture in the United States. Join us on our journey as we document and preserve the expressions of this form in a large southeastern city.

trailer trash

Empty field at Atlantic Station, Atlanta, GA. November 28, 2004.The next stop on our tour of Atlantic Station is an empty field. This will not remain an empty field for much longer. A vertical trailer park for yuppies, named Element, will be going up soon. According to the nearby billboard, shitboxes will start in the high $100s. As an aside, the advertisements for this development are some of the lamest I have ever seen - they all feature attractive women and the tagline, "are you in your element?". The obvious implication created by the ads is if one is dumb enough to pay $200,000 for a condominium made out of sticks, hot women will beat down the door. Thanks, but I will keep my money and spend it on something useful that will last, like a 'Blad and some Zeiss glass.
